Clarex is operated by an individual developer based in Turkey.

By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We do not require users to create an account.

We do not collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, or home address.

However, the Application may process the following data:

A. Images Uploaded by the User

When you use the visual search feature, you may upload an image from your device.

  • The image is processed only to perform a visual similarity search.
  • The image is not stored on our servers.
  • The image is not permanently retained.
  • The image is transmitted securely and used only to generate search results.

B. Usage Data

We use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Application. This may include:

  • Device type
  • Operating system version
  • App version
  • Country (approximate, based on IP)
  • General usage behavior (screens viewed, session duration)

This data does not identify you personally.

2. Third-Party Services

The Application uses the following third-party service providers:

A. SerpAPI

We use SerpAPI solely to perform visual similarity searches via Yandex Images. When a user uploads an image:

  • The image is transmitted securely to SerpAPI
  • SerpAPI performs a search using Yandex Images
  • Search results are returned to the Application
  • The image is not stored by us

SerpAPI processes data only for the purpose of providing search results. We do not use SerpAPI for profiling, tracking, or advertising.

B. Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to analyze app usage and improve performance. Firebase may collect:

  • Device identifiers
  • General usage statistics
  • Approximate location (country level)

This data is aggregated and anonymized.

C. Facebook SDK

We use Facebook SDK for analytics purposes only. We do not use Facebook for advertising within the app.

Facebook may collect limited device and usage information according to its own privacy policy.

3. What We Do NOT Do

We do not:

  • Sell personal data
  • Store uploaded images
  • Create user profiles
  • Perform facial recognition
  • Perform identity verification
  • Build databases of individuals
  • Use images for marketing
  • Share personal data for advertising

The Application only performs a visual similarity search using publicly available search engine results.

4. Data Retention

Uploaded images are not stored.

Analytics data may be retained by third-party providers according to their own data retention policies.

We do not maintain a separate user database.

5. Data Security

All data transmission is performed over secure HTTPS connections.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect transmitted information.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request information about collected data
  • Request deletion of data
  • Object to data processing

Since we do not maintain user accounts or store personal data, deletion requests are generally not applicable except for analytics-related data.
